This weekend, Regent Street will be transformed into India for a day of spectacular free outdoor events showcasing India’s incredible diversity and creativity with decorations from artist Sumant Jayakrishnan, whose stage designs wowed Roundhouse audiences at A Midsummer Night’s Dream earlier this year. There’ll also be painted booths and stunning decorative designs from Delhi-based Xylem Papercraft.
Nearby you’ll find a Goan beach area, complete with palm trees, food stalls, restaurants and traditional Indian handicrafts like block printing, embroidery and beadwork.
For the kids there’ll be hands-on arts workshops and traditional puppet performances by the Aakaar Puppet Company.
