Last week on Tuesday, November 13th, I was given the chance to attend a Maxima Training course on Effective Telesales: Maximising Revenue on Telephone Calls, which was tutored by James Lee.
There were six of us attending and we met up at the Meeting House, near Marble Arch. The choice of venue for meetings was really good and Meeting House have their very own chef, who used to work at 10 Downing Street – yummy! We had a very comfortable and productive day which was an eye-opening experience as I had never fully realised how big achievements are brought about by the slightest changes. By the end of the course we all felt inspired and motivated, knowing that we had just gained skills that would help us in the future. Believing in yourself and acting accordingly works wonders in the way people perceive you not only professionally but also personally.
With this idea in mind I then set off for my weekly dance practice. I am a proud member of an all-female 60s themed dance troupe, The Actionettes (www.actionettes.com). We have regular club nights in London and we have travelled all over the UK and Europe. As luck would have it, we have quite an important line-up of events throughout the festive period. We will be dancing at the Design Museum, Time Out and Tate Galleries Christmas parties, amongst others. These events represent big opportunities for us, and as such we have to make the most out of ourselves. I am happy and grateful that I was given the opportunity to join this course, as I believe I can now encourage my fellow Actionettes to give 200% in each performance. In this way, we will ensure not only that the audience will have a great time during our dances, but it will also open up doors to further and more exciting opportunities.
