The Surrounding Country Parks
We are surrounded by three beautiful parks that are perfect for that brisk winter afternoon stroll, some outdoor entertainment for the children or to walk off that indulgent dinner in Beeches Restaurant.
In the surrounding area of Iver Heath is Langley Park which is historic parkland of 130 acres and holds important wildlife habitats, including woodland, heathland, wetland and grassland. It is a place to go and enjoy the peace and tranquillity and to admire living links to the past, in the veteran trees.
There are many old lanes and ancient boundaries, plus the lakes and buildings represent the pinnacle of eighteenth century landscape design. Details of the park and how to get there are available from reception.
Black Park in Wexham is also a beautiful day out and definitely a place to visit whilst staying in Gerrards Cross. The park is 530 acres of attractive woodland, grassland and heathland with a centre piece lake. There are miles of stony paths through the woods, with a Lakeside café, toilets and even an orienteering course available.
The Kids will absolutely love the adventure playground which has been created with the help of a local charity. The equipment is suitable for children of all ages and abilities, and again information is available at reception.
Then last but not least, is the smaller yet perfectly formed and stunning Denham Country Park which is located nearest to the hotel. It offers 69 acres of great recreational opportunities and has links to local footpaths and bridleways. It is also surrounded by the Grand Union Canal and the Rivers Colne and Misbourne, so as long as you wrap up really warm and don’t forget your thermals, you can sit back, relax and enjoy a good book or watch the children learn about the surrounding wildlife whilst you enjoy the stunning sites surrounding you.
