The Rembrandt Hotel – Long Service Awards
I am Ada Okpetu and I have worked at The Rembrandt Hotel in Knightsbridge for OVER 20 Years!.
It was my time to collect my long service award on the 18th March 2011, not only was I being taken out for dinner and a presentation I was also staying at the hotel. I checked in a 3pm to get ready for the 6:30pm start (a long time to get ready I know but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t late and that I looked good!)
We started off in the conservatory lounge of The Rembrandt for champagne and nibbles, and then the taxis came at 7pm to take us to our destination for the evening.
The evening was hosted by Rajesh Vohra Sales and Marketing Director, Mrs Barlow Group Operations Manager and Deborah Saleh Group Human Resources Manager.
We were greeted at our venue with more champagne and more nibbles and cocktails!
We were given a huge menu, too many to make a choice!
At 8pm we were presented with our awards for outstanding service to The Rembrandt Hotel, I received a large framed certificate and a big gift for which I was very grateful to receive and I made my speech.
We were then escorted to the restaurant for a wonderful meal, with more wine and then followed by a delicious dessert and dessert wine.
After the meal I went back to The Rembrandt Hotel for a really relaxing nights sleep. The following day I enjoyed a full English breakfast and then made my way home.
It was a beautiful evening, a very enjoyable time and one that I will cherish for the rest of my life
