April Showers
April Showers, or not?
This April has seen some of the hottest weather recorded for some years. I have been so used to the weather being unpredictable this time of year that I have been pleasantly surprised with how it has turned out.
Being in Gerrard’s Cross certainly helps as we have some beautiful areas of common land that can be explored on a sunny day as well as our own gardens here at The Bull which have exploded into colour with the great Spring weather.
With all the school holidays and bank holidays that we are being treated to at the moment the Hotel has been really busy with families enjoying the local attractions such as Windsor Castle, Legoland and Thorpe Park and it has been nice to see how much fun they are all having with these special days out.
Of course, Mum & Dad are then worn out and can’t wait to get back to the Bull where they can enjoy dinner in Beeches Restaurant before heading off to bed.
It almost feels like Summer and we’re all hoping for a good one this year!
Why not relax in our gardens with a nice glass of fruity fizz or try this one at home yourselves:
Strawberry Fields
15ml Grand Marnier
10ml Amaretto
20ml Fresh Strawberry Juice
Top with Champagne into a chilled Champagne flute.
