Beaconsfield fair

Posted by Evi Karmou | Category : General

10th May weekend –  Beaconsfield and neighboring villages have the chance to enjoy Beaconsfield fair. This is an historic event, dating from  the reign of Henry III the first one was held on May 10 1269 which lasted for 8 days, this was shortened to 2 days in 1414 and given a permanent date of May 10 in 1863. So this is an important part of Beaconsfield’s history.  Despite the chaos caused to everyone by road closures, over 10,000 people will attend over the 2 days.

A wonderful spectacular occasion which fortunately only happens once a year,
