Discussions, Discussions over a pint of cider
So sipping on a pint of refreshing cider after our last game of rounder’s for the season there really was only one thing to discuss, if your thinking who is the player of the season was our main discussion you would be wrong!
There is really only one thing to discuss at a long hard season of rounder’s, arranging our annual Christmas party.
Obviously the main discussion is what we all want from our Christmas party! Mine what I’m I going to wear, which then started a conversation maybe we should go fancy dress the main option our rounder’s uniform (track suit bottoms and a t-shirt) or fairytale characters, well I know which one I would prefer!!!! finally after much persuasion from a selected few we would not go in fancy dress, following a long conversation we came up with a date where most of us could to go shopping, with teachers and new mums in the team it was hard to find a date in the dairy, however picking a date for our Christmas party was easy. As we all make sure we don’t plan any other party before we have a made a date for our party.
What did we want from our Christmas party, ideas where thrown about food, dancing and somewhere with a bar seemed to be the mean ideas!
We then volunteered the captain to find us a venue with the requirements we had suggested. She sent us a message on Facebook telling us that she had found the perfect venue with accommodation if we wanted make a weekend of our party.
We now we just have to sit and wait for December to arrive only 12 weeks to go.
So with all that The Abbey has to offer it is never too early to book your Christmas party if it’s an annual office party or a group of friends and get the party that you deserve after a hard working 2011.
