Summer of Festivals
Last weekend was the Upton Jazz festival on Fish Meadow, the home of the festival. The ground was said a week ago to be in ‘good shape’ but after the recent downpour over the past few weeks it was touch and go. But once again the message was: “don’t forget your wellies”.
With a packed programme of over 12 hours of live music each day, it is a must weekend in the calendar of the jazz festivals. The next event is the Upton Blues festival on 20th and 22nd of July, Britain’s biggest free blues festival with over 90 performances of some of the best British blues bands at our fantastic riverside town of Upton upon Severn, offering three official stages and nine pub stages. The event is free and they ask you to park in the official car park, buy a programme or T-Shirt and this is how you pay for the Festival.
So the choice is to camp or glamp (the art of camping with added luxury) or why not attend in style and call The Abbey Hotel book an executive room with hot and cold running water and room service….perfect
