New Refurbishments at The Sir Christopher Wren Hotel
Hi all,
My name is Paulina and I am the head housekeeper at the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel and Spa.
Since the Wren was bought by the Sarova group in 2011, the property has changed unrecognizably.
In 2011 all Public Areas including Thames View Restaurant & Bar, Oak Room, Sienna Room and Drawing Room were refurbished and upgraded with new furniture. Features such as fire places, ceiling medallions and wood panelled walls were kept, as they give charm to the Hotel and are a very important part of this grade II listed building.
After the public areas, most of the main building bedrooms were completely restored and upgraded with flat screen TV’s, brand new furniture and fittings.
Last year the Bousfield rooms, which are located in a building opposite the main house, were refurbished and just like the bedrooms in the main house, got brand new furniture and fittings. (see pictures)
Some room types have been upgraded with items such as DVD players, Ipod docking stations, Nespresso coffee machines and luxury bed toppers.
Currently, the Riverside building is being refurbished and we are all counting down the days until the builders will finish their work in there and we can proudly present another twelve brand new bedrooms to our guests.
I am hoping to see you soon!
Regards,
Paulina
